CMPG Moon Planting Guide 2016
2016 FOLD OUT MOON PLANTING GUIDE FOR GARDENERS
Author: MAGER, STEFAN
Description: Growing plants by the rhythms of the moon dates back to many ancient civilisations including China, India, Egypt, Greece and Rome. The regularity of the Moon's phases provided a convenient way of timing agricultural activities. Over time it was noticed that different plants grow better when planted during dirrerent phases of the Moon. These observations were refined and later recorded in Farmer's Almanacs. Central to the practice is the Moon's gravitational effect on the flow of fluids in soil and plants. The Moon controls ocean tides and influences groundwater tables. Plant sap responds to the same gravitational principles as the tides of the oceans. Using one or a combination of Moon rhythms helps plants grow more vigorously, germinate seeds faster and harvest larger and more vital produce. It is easy, anybody can do it, costs nothing, and requires no extra effort. And it is fun.
