Ethiopian Opals are a relatively recent discovery but very popular as they are formed differently to Australian Opals. The Volcanic origin of Ethiopians means they are always found in solid nodules rather than the thin sedimentary layers of Australian Opals.
You don't see doublets or triplets with Ethiopian Opals. They're all solid opal with colours dancing in the depths.
