Maligano Jasper Pendant, Oval Cabochon, 925 Silver, r3

Maligano Jasper was only recently discovered in 2012, in the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia, so it's quite a rare stone.
This lovely Oval Cabochon is a classic example with patches of Ochre and pale Umber separated by veins of silver grey Agate.
The stone has been bezel set as a pendant with an open back that shows off all the stone and allows the energy to flow. The strong setting is in good quality bright Sterling Silver.
This is an example of a Brecciated Jasper ~ which sounds exactly like it is. The Jasper formed normally but was then was broken up into pieces by subsequent geological action. The story doesn't end there because then the silver gray Agate filled the gaps as if healing them, and that to me reveals much of it's healing quality.
It helps to return our consciousness to a state of wholeness.
Those famous words of Leonard Cohens come to mind ~
"There is a crack, a crack in everything
That’s how the light gets in."
