Sunstone is a member of the Feldspar family, as is Moonstone which is a recommended companion stone. It has inclusions of Goethite, Hematite  or even platelets of copper which supply the radiant optical glow.

From some angles raw Sunstone is quite ordinary, but as you move it around and the inclusions catch the light suddenly it shines brilliantly - much as the Sun moving from behind a cloud.

This is above all a joyful stone brimming over with optimism and hope. Since it also resonates with the solar plexus chakra it can also manifest those feelings in material prosperity and good fortune.

It's also a wonderful tonic if you heart has been bruised leaving you emotionally fragile. Sunstone helps us to switch on a positive viewpoint even when we're feeling down, and this can change everything !
