A small Faceted Oval of genuine Moldavite is claw set in well crafted 925 Sterling Silver that has a generous Gold Plating to make this dainty yet interesting ring.
Faceted gems still carry the same energy as their raw counterparts, but it's generally more open and refined, It is strong and could be a bit overwhelming although so this could be a good introduction for sensitive people.
This strong energy of Moldavite relates to the manner of it's birth ( see below ) but essentially it is directed towards personal transformation. I liken it to the Universe knocking on the door of your Heart and waking you up to a wider perspective.

Moldavite has a fascinating history and has been known for a long long time - at least 30,000 years - which we know because when the Venus of Willendorf carving was discovered there were shards of Moldavite found alongside.
Energetically, Moldavite was created some 15 million years ago when a Comet hit the Earth. In the microseconds before impact some of the Earths' crust was melted and flung into the air to land a few 100 Kms away in what is now known as the Moldau Valley. Every piece of Moldavite carries that traumatic experience coupled with unexpected release and flight of Freedom towards a safe place. For this reason I've always described the energy of Moldavite as the Universe knocking on the door of your Heart with an urgent inspiration for personal transformation.
For most people the opening of this doorway is quite exciting but to others the energy is just too strong all at once and they need to approach it more carefully
Ancient Legends also follow this story. Long before the science, Moldavite was known as a 'Grail Stone' that was formed from Lucifers' Crown as he fell from Heaven and it was knocked loose by Archangel Michaels' sword which is not too far from the reality of it's formation.
AUTHENTICITY
This is a legitimate concern since Moldavite is an Obsidian which is structurally a glass, albeit naturally formed and so the traditional gem identifiers like Refractive index or Thermal Coefficient don't work. This means that when buying I rely on visual inspection and with the advantage of over 30 years experience I can tell the difference. Secondly I only buy from two suppliers that I totally trust.
Having said that,there are a few things you can do
1. You can test with UV light as fakes sometimes have fluorescent patches while the real thing does not.
2. Perfectly Spherical or elongated bubbles are an indication of the real thing.
3. Lechatelierite is another sign, these clear quartz crystals look very much like clear wiggly worms visible under magnification, but they're quite rare and only visible in polished Moldavite.
4. Streaky internal flow lines. Moldavite was thrown very high, possibly even beyond the atmosphere and cooled very quickly so it didn't all solidify at the same time.
5. The surface is always complex and rugged. This was not a result of atmospheric flight, but acid etching in it's landed environment over 15 million years.
7. Finally that's why I always post at least one pic with light passing through the stone so you can see the internal structure.
