Moldavite - the stone for the New Year

Just chatting in the shop and remarking on the positive vibes as we get into 2025 when I was reminded that the Chinese New Year begins on January 28th - and this time it's the Year of the Snake - an animal is famous for it's ability to transform itself. That's what I'm feeling about this new year. It's a great opportunity to let go of all those old persistent blocks in our psyche. To release ourselves from those cages and set ourselves free. Primarily I'm talking about the conditioned self beliefs that hold us back and prevent us from realising our full potential. No better animal to demons...

Happy New Year !

Well here we are again wishing you all a HAPPY, PROSPEROUS and above all HEALTHY NEW YEAR!!! It's really rather ridiculous considering 4 decades of constant and profound change in socirty that this is our 39th New Year in existence ! although looking at it another way, we're only as old as Mobile Phones :) Before this I had a string of decent jobs but my itchy feet meant I never lasted more than one or two years. This place however rapidly became my Life Mission and in this year of Retail Apocalypse I'm so happy we survived, and grateful to all this wonderful Crystal Heart Family who have c...

Rubies -We can All Make Mistakes !

Hi everyone and hope you all doing well despite all the curve balls and obstacles that life seems to delight in throwing our way ! That old saying - whatever doesn't defeat you makes you stronger - really resonates with me after the last 5 years. Feeling love for you all, because we've all been through stuff but we are still here.  Still a month of chemo to go, this has been harder than the first course but as insurance against it popping up somewhere else in the future it's well worth it. I'll also maintain the diet and supplement regime so that any future cancer cells fall on very stony g...

A Quick Catch up

Well it was a good flight back on my favourite Thai Airways. I got home around 9 am, just time to drop off my luggage and open the shop at 10 am, still in the same clothes I wore on the flight ! I was mentally nowhere and everywhere but my beautiful customers were really supportive. Paris was amazing and it did something to my soul. It gave me an unexpected confidence to deal with anything. Last week I had 4 medical appointments in 5 days but the good news is that the Cancer has not spread and the Tumour is now inert and slowly dissipating. I just started the Chemo again but this is an insu...

Another Succesful Show is over

Hi Everyone and I hope this blog finds you well. All  the buying has been done and it's now all packed up and winging it's way back to OZ. I'm sad to leave Bangkok but looking forward to coming home as well. I missed the last two shows for health reasons so it was lovely to get back to such a wide variety of beautiful stones to choose from, and I think I chose well. With 80 shelves of Jewellery in the shop it looked pretty full when I left - but it was fun filling in all the gaps I knew were there and I managed to spend too much, as usual. There weren't any mind blowing 'new stones' that I'...

Back in Bangkok

Hi Everyone and hope you're all doing magnificently, Wow a Saturday Night Blog, just like the old days, and writing from Bangkok as well - I've had to miss too many of these buying trips. So it seems very much back to normal after a stressful few years. Best wishes to you all, it's my firm belief that if we all think positively about our lives then that group energy has too make a difference. Over the last few days I have of course bought a lot of Jewellery - focusing this time on smaller rings, really well made, with smaller but lovely stones. I also bought a bunch of traditional Jade Bang...
