Amazonite is a blue green Feldspar (same family as Moonstone) Generally opaque or slightly translucent, the best qualities have a nice consistent colour but generally there are white inclusions. Popular for carvings & amulets in Ancient Egypt, it's now regaining popularity in Jewellery.
