A small Faceted Round of genuine Moldavite, bezel set in 925 Sterling Silver with an open back. This is a lovely dainty ring and despite the small size it still has a nice Moldavite energy, just more refined.
Moldavite has a very strong strong activating energy for personal transformation whilst opening a connection to a conscious universe.
I don't wear it all the time, but it amplifies raises my energy, intuition and ability to think outside the box.

Moldavite has a fascinating history and has been known for a long long time - at least 30,000 years - which we know because when the Venus of Willendorf carving was discovered there were shards of Moldavite found alongside.
Energetically, Moldavite was created some 15 million years ago when a Comet hit the Earth. In the microseconds before impact some of the Earths' crust was melted and flung into the air to land a few 100 Kms away in what is now known as the Moldau Valley. Every piece of Moldavite carries that traumatic experience coupled with unexpected release and flight of Freedom towards a safe place. For this reason I've always described the energy of Moldavite as the Universe knocking on the door of your Heart with an urgent inspiration for personal transformation.
For most people the opening of this doorway is quite exciting but to others the energy is just too strong all at once and they need to approach it more carefully
Ancient Legends also follow this story. Long before the science, Moldavite was known as a 'Grail Stone' that was formed from Lucifers' Crown as he fell from Heaven and it was knocked loose by Archangel Michaels' sword which is not too far from the reality of it's formation.
AUTHENTICITY
This is a legitimate concern since Moldavite is an Obsidian which is structurally a glass, albeit naturally formed. The lack of structure means that there is no definitive test to check it's authenticity, and it would also be easy to fake visually.
There are a few things you can do though.
1. You can test with UV light as fakes sometimes have fluorescent patches while the real thing does not.
2. Perfectly Spherical bubbles are an indication of the real thing.
3. Lechatelierite is another sign, these clear quartz crystals look very much like clear wiggly worms visible under magnification, but only in polished Moldavite.
Finally, experience counts for a lot. I've been dealing with Moldavite since the 90s and have a pretty good idea what it feels like. I also buy from only 2 suppliers that I've known for decades. Both of them have high integrity and share my enthusiasm for stones in general. If it doesn't feel right I don't buy it. Where I have been able to test they've always shown as Authentic.
