A friend once referred to Crystal Heart as an Aladdins Cave of Treasures and he spoke well. Other people invest in property and super and good on them. But I'm the Gypsy of the Family. Or maybe it's my past lives as a Pirate - which balanced my many spiritual lives ! I just love travel and gemstones. Before each buying trip I tell myself to buy less stock. I've got enough ! So I commit to buy only really lovely things. But I continually find more lovely and irresistable gems. So watch this space because over the next few weeks we've got some more amazing treasures to show you.
NEW JEWEL...
Wow. It's really been full on at the Heart since my return. Or should I say just MORE full on than usual :-D So the uploads have taken longer and there's still heaps to come. Over the last few days I've uploaded some lovely Peridot. This is the gem quality crystal of Olivine. Prices of stones do fluctuate according to availability and that's something I really look for on my buying trips. This time there was a lot of lovely Peridot at very reasonable prices so I bought as much as I could !
Peridot was highly valued in the Ancient world, being only sourced from the mysterious island of Za...
Nuumite has been one of the most powerful stones I've worked with, and at a gem show earlier in the year I came across some rare Blue Nuumite which has just been set in Sterling Silver. There's only a few pieces because out of the kilogram available there were only half a dozen pieces I really liked. Check the stone out here >>>>> NUUMITE COLLECTION
RUBIES AND SAPPHIRES
At Crystal Heart we always prefer big stones - and that's been a problem with Sapphires and Rubies for example. Sure we've maintained stock of Matrix Stones but these aren't gem quality. Until this trip !!! We now have Gemmy Rubies and Sapphires - large sizes and affordable prices. These come from a mine outside Chantaburi, Thailand ( same area as Bridge over River Kwai ) where they've been mined for centuries. The Ruby had run out, but more has been discovered. They all have translucence to varying degrees. The colour is lovely and...
Well Sorry all but it's been such a long time between posts. But the shop has been very busy, which is good, though in the end I was really hanging out to get away to the Bangkok Gem Show ! It was a very good trip. Even though I arrived exhausted, hobbling round like an old man :-) but it's a perpetual source of amazement to me that once I start viewing beautiful crystals and gemstones my energy always returns !
Talk about 6 degrees of seperation though. I was chatting with my new favourite supplier who has a really good eye for stones and I happened to mention that my love affair with cry...
I remember long ago being shocked by the revelation of another Chakra which was located outside the body, floating above the crown. As a Yogi I was firmly of the belief that al Chakras were firmly tethered to nodes on the Physical body. Despite initial resistance to the idea, this led to a new round of Spiritual Growth as it opened a connection to Universal Consciousness. Some some called this Chakra the transpersonal, but I prefer the the more evocative name of Star Chakra. Decades later I came up with this design. The Herkimer represents the Star Chakra, connecting you to Universal C...
